Devikins Open Beta on Feb. 9

The Devikins team have finally announced that the open beta will launch on February 9, 2PM PST. Everyone can participate in the open beta, and we are excited to see what the Devikins community think of the game before public launch.

The game is currently in closed beta with a few hundred lucky individuals being able to try out the game and report any bugs found. It has been a few weeks since the release of the closed beta and we've got 6 tips for all beta players.

Beta Gameplay is Virtualized

Every single data in the beta is virtualized. All the DVK you earn and all the Devikins you procreate during beta cannot be transferred to your wallet. And right after the beta, every data will be reset for the public launch.

Since everything is virtualized, making mistakes aren't as "expensive" as in the public launch because everything will be reset anyway. On the other hand, it's also kind of sad to know that all the rare Devikins you procreate won't make it with you after the beta.

Don't Import Everything

The best strategy when it comes to importing Devikins is to choose which Devikins to import. Importing is a manual process so you might not want to import all of your Devikins, especially if you have a hundred or more Devikins.

In choosing which Devikins to import, prioritize your higher rarity (Rare, Mythic, Eldritch...?) Devikins over the lower ones. If you plan on procreating, you should also import your Uncommon Devikins with perfect affinities.

Don't waste your DVK

To start out with the beta, you will be given a small amount of DVK. You might be tempted to buy all the training items you want with this or mint a virtual Devikin in the store, but the best thing to do with your DVK is to save it for now. Only use your DVK for the MAD subscription, incubators, higher level training items, and procreation.

Get MAD, ASAP

MAD is an in game subscription service that gives you access to a number of exclusive features. I have had it since the start of the beta so I can't remember which features it unlocks, but the subscription gives you items and Mynthe Seeds daily. The subscription ends after the last day of the month so you will have to resubscribe every month.

Learn What Your Devikid Loves

Devikins have different personalities and these personalities determine which training items the Devikin loves or hate. A Devikin will get more stats if it uses an item it loves and it will get less stats if it uses an item it hates. If the Devikin partially likes the item, then they get the amount of stats in the item description.

Don't Get Too Attached

Again, after the beta, all data will be wiped! On public launch, we will all start from scratch and play to earn will finally start.
